About Me

Dr Rajakariar is a Consultant in Renal Medicine at the Barts Health NHS Trust. He undertook is postgraduate training at Barts Health in London where he was appointed as a consultant nephrologist. He was also awarded a PhD degree for research into resolution of inflammation that he carried out at the William Harvey Research Institute. He has published in numerous prestigious peer reviewed journals.

His clinical interests: 

Lupus and kidney disease

Chronic Kidney Disease

Microscopic haematuria (Non visible Haematuria)

Proteinuria

Nephrotic Syndrome

Haemodialysis

He has practicing privileges at London Bridge Hospital and has access to their dialysis facilities Dr Rajakariar has been actively involved in research and teaching throughout his medical career and has published in many prestigious peer reviewed journals. He is involved both at an undergraduate level at Queen Mary University of London as an academic year tutor and training of junior doctors. Dr Rajakariar often gives talks during GP seminars here in London. During his social time, Dr Rajakariar is keen on fitness, likes to visit the theatre and enjoys cooking for friends. He is married and lives in London.
